Sticks and stones may break my bones on Taidekoulu Maan kolmannen vuosikurssin lopputyönäyttely, joka kokoaa yhteen viidentoista opiskelijan teokset. Näyttelyn tilana toimii koulumme kanssa samalla saarella sijaitseva Suomenlinnan telakan vanha Levyhalli.
Korkeuksiin kurkottavassa tilassa on nähtävillä kuvataidetta, mediataidetta, installaatiota sekä performanssia. Näyttelyn yhteisiä teemoja ovat mm. nukkuva ympäristö, julkisten tilojen käyttö, vieraantuneisuus ja post-internet ajan kerrostumat.
Näyttelyn ajankohta 15.5.– 28.5.2025

Esteellisyystiedot: Levyhalli sijaitsee Suomenlinnassa, jonne pääsee Kauppatorilta lähtevällä lautalla. Suomenlinnan lauttarannan ja Levyhallin välinen matka on n. 750m ja sisältää epätasaista maastoa ja mukulakivi- ja hiekkateitä. Levyhallin sisäänkäynti on hyvin leveä, sen sisäänkäynnillä on n. 3 cm korkuinen kynnys. Sisätiloissa on yleisölle tarkoitettuja istumapaikkoja muutama kappale. Levyhallissa ei ole wc:tä, lähin WC sijaitsee sillan toisella puolen vasemmalla (n. 150m). Lähin esteetön wc löytyy viereisestä Adlerfelt-ravintolasta.

Art School Maa’s third-year students Graduation Exhibition

Sticks and stones may break my bones is the graduation exhibition of the third-year students at Art School Maa, bringing together works by fifteen artists. The exhibition takes place in the old Levyhalli at the Suomenlinna shipyard, located on the same island as our school.
In this soaring space, visitors can experience visual art, media art, installations, and performance. Common themes of the exhibition include: the dormant environment, use of public spaces, alienation, and layers of the post-internet era.
Exhibition dates: May 15–28, 2025
Open daily from 12 PM to 7 PM
Opening reception on Wednesday, May 14, from 5 PM to 9 PM
Accessibility information: Levyhalli is located in Suomenlinna, which can be reached by ferry departing from the Market Square (Kauppatori). The distance between the Suomenlinna ferry pier and Levyhalli is approximately 750 meters and includes uneven terrain, cobblestone paths, and gravel roads. The entrance to Levyhalli is very wide and has a threshold approximately 3 cm high. Inside the hall, there are a few seats available for the audience. There is no toilet in Levyhalli; the nearest toilet is located across the bridge on the left (approx. 150 m away). The nearest accessible toilet is in the adjacent Adlerfelt restaurant.
